Family Day:
Family day is a festival held annually by the Mantua Community Improvement Committee. This is an amazing event that offers residents of West Philadelphia the opportunity to enjoy a free entertainment, arts, and crafts, local celebrities and to learn about nutrition, diabetes awareness, anti violence, education and job training. MCIC Family day Festival Weekend was created to promote families coming together to build a postitive community. The festival takes place in close proximity to Drexel University and University of Pennsylvania which encourages surrounding communities to come together to get to know each other. Drexel University is a proud sponsor of MCIC Family day Festival. this even witll draw approximately 10,000 to 12,000 participants including business owners and area college students. Families will have the opportunity to be entertained with live performances from various vendors set up to educate the community. Our health awarenesses nutrition components of the MCIC family Day festival has proven to be a major resource for the residents of Mantua.
The festivites include carnival rides,food, t-shirts, school supplies and vendor booths for information on healty life styles. We seek to reduce these costs through your support by choosing one of our various levels of support. We are requesting your help by becoming an event sponsor or purchasing space in our professional, full-color program brochure.
As a sponsor, your company will receive and add in the festival program brochure, special acknowledgements in radio broadcasts, associated with the event, tickets to the annual gala, as well as your company's logo on event paraphernalia. MCIC is a registered 501c(3) listed in Dunn & Bradstreet. All donations are tax deductable.
This years festival takes place Saturday, Aug 22nd, 2009 from 12pm-6pm @ 33rd and Wallace Streets.
